I was right! You CAN use the Apple Airpods as a bluetooth wireless microphone for your iPhone!
You don't understand how excited I was to find this out when I finally got my hands on a pair of Apple Airpods.
The hardest part was having to wait 6 weeks to get my hands on them. Did I wait 6 weeks? No. I ended up paying another $30 more on EBay so that I didn't have to wait. Was it worth the wait? You be the judge. Watch the video and listen to the audio to judge for yourself whether you think the audio from the Apple Airpods are good enough for you.
I've probably bought WAAAY too many apps in an effort to find the perfect app that lets me edit my iPhone videos the way I'm used to editing them on my desktop using Adobe Premiere Pro. It has been a confusing round robin of using one app to do one thing then exporting and importing into the next app to do another thing. Just like with cameras, there is never a perfect app. Gah. BUT guess what? I've found the ALMOST PERFECT ONE! But let me tell ya, it ain't cheap. Read on to see which was the CLEAR winner.
This week's 3 videos to watch. An iPhone 7 video, a great storytelling video and advice!
Are you tired of hearing "It depends."?
I'm like you. I like concrete answers. I honestly hate hearing "it depends". I mean, c'mon. Can't you give a general answer? Like, what if it's for the average person for the typical experience?
So I finally found the definitive answer to how long your videos should be! We all know the "it depends" stuff. Like it depends on what you're trying to say. Your video needs to be however long it needs to be to get your message across. Nope. I don't agree with that. In this day and age, we have so many other videos to watch! Our attention spans are only so long. Tell it to me straight!
Ok so enough rant. Here's the answer...
I get sooo excited when I watch a really great short video. After watching these I am inspired to create something just as great. And I'm saying "Yes!" out loud because these videos are what I wish all videos should be like. They're well produced, thought out, with a narrative. If all commercials and ads were like this I'd be in trouble because I'm pretty sure I'd be convinced to buy anything if things were sold to me in videos like these.
If you're like me and have invested in quite a bit of gear to work with your iPhone, you probably were not super happy with losing the headphone jack with the iPhone 7. Thank goodness at least there's an adapter! But it sure ain't as simple as it used to be.
Both of these videos are car commercials. Both are about 2-3 minutes long. But I bet you like one much better than the other. Watch and let's talk about why.
I used to go between 3 different apps on my iPhone in order to edit video on my iPhone. Finally, I no longer need to do this after finding this ONE app that does it all. It has since become my favorite, especially since it rolled out the B-Roll feature.
Everyone keeps talking about how storytelling will save the day for your business.
That’s great. But no one really tells you how. You agree that stories can connect, make you memorable and make your audience care. And you do want to tell your story. But you’re no novelist. How on earth do you tell stories that will actually do all of that?
Before I continue - you should know that I am Asian. In Asian culture, you are absolutely not to talk about your accomplishments. Oh heck no. “You have to be modest!” (That’s my mom’s voice talking there.) And to talk about your life and misfortunes and mistakes you’ve made? Oh heck no. It’s absolutely shameful.
